I may never watch another "how to" or build-up video again. Merciful Father, but that was really great.

So Jamie, when's OWC gonna sponsor one of us?

Jamie,

No lie, I just finished watching the video on Engadet.com and was going to start a thread on it.

It's one of the best mods I have seen.

The guy has awesome craftsmanship.

A little sloppy with the bondo but it looks great when he is finished.

him carry me, and yet assure myself and others
that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his
lot by all possible means — except by getting off

I don't frequent YouTube, but that is the best thing I have ever seen on there. Thank you!

Ahh, turn the music off. smiling smiley

And I second the sloppy bondo application comment. I learned to do that when I was 16, and trust me, the guy that taught me, you'd have thought it was gold in that 'thar can. smiling smiley THIN layer not THICK pile.

that boy would be so RIPE to punk. Simulate a fire or something, with cops finding him while he was away at his friend's or mom's house. Come up the apt with flames shooting out the windows as seen from the street. He'd be decimated that his shrine was all for nothing.

His apartment made me think of Robin Williams line in Good Morning Vietnam.

Beautiful job. Now, all those of you who have a drill press, band saw and sheet metal jig in their basement, raise their hand.

Hell, I don't even have a basement.

Some of use have to make do with the dining room table with bad lighting.

Really cool...he must not have kids...because there's no time for that nonsense with you've got responsibilities.

Why didn't he just get a small case designed for the motherboard and put an X on it? winking smiley

Honestly I have all the equipment he has except for one - no sheet metal brake unfortunately. But I have a lathe (metal), bead blast cabinet, MIG welder, stick welder, acetylene torch, yadda yadda......

Does it help my grandparents owned a True Value hardware store for 30+ years and I grew up there? smiling smiley

Not sure why he needed to use an Xbox developer Kit box as it just ended up being all black in the end.

Based on the two videos in evidence, his crib is most likely the basement which is no doubt in his parents' house. See weapon and OWC Jamie's comments.

Nevertheless, some neat stuff. g=

I was expecting more with all the build up.

He'll probably get all the girls he needs when he starts making six figures doing product design for some tech company; he's already snagging sponsors. He has that hard working/ingenuity/creativity thing going. big grin smiley

Or he'd be jazzed at the idea of getting to do it all again with all the tweaks and improvements he's had in his head all this time. This stuff is a labor of love for him, obviously; as much about the doing as the thing being done big grin smiley

Some people's creativity amazes me.

Nice workshop. One wonders what Da Vinci could have accomplished had he had access to such tools.

Unfortunately, with his vastly over-priced EFi-X v.1 module, he can't run Snow Leopard. I expect to see him over at efixusers.com real soon now.

What it is, man, a low-down and funky feelin'
