London Calling was released by The Clash (or their record label)

One of my favorite Rock-N-Roll albums of all time!

It really does stand the test time. Certainly nothing since is even close, and there only a few albums before, during the golden age, that are comparable (sgt peppers, ziggy, blood on the tracks, zep 4, and maybe some others?).

"phony beatlemania has bitten the dust"

What I find remarkable is that when the Clash were at their peak, all of those bands from the 60s and 70s were washed up old dinosaur acts, that hadn't done anything in 5-10 years. But now 30 years later, those dinosaur acts just keep pluggin along.

the Legacy CD edition is pretty good. I picked it up last year, it contains lots of rough studio cuts.
