This deal from 2008 is turning out to be one of my best ever

I know it's not a big deal but....

On 10-31-08 I followed a dealmac link to a newegg deal for a 16GB Kingston flash drive for $15.49 shipped.

At the time, flash prices were dropping like a stone and I was sure that I'd see a better price in just a few weeks.

Here it is about 15 months later and I have yet to see another 16GB flash drive at that price - certainly not a name brand...

I still use it everyday. It was my first and only flash drive purchase to date.

that is all...

It's slow today...

I hear you. I'm stupified that we haven't seen better (or equivalent) prices since that deal!

I'm stupified - but it never affected my hearing. I guess I'm safe!

I remember getting a 16GB OCZ from Amazon for $9.99 in November '0, pof course that was after rebates.

I thought I was crazy... seemed that a 16GB drive could be had for $20, but now costs more like $30.
