Well it's over. One less reason to hate NY.

No over as in the union has told the workers to go back to work. It seems the threat of jail for the union leaders did the trick.

yup just kiddin"

smiling smiley

I heard on the radio. . .they are to go back to work as soon as they can. . .hopefully that means subway by the time I go home? (probably wishful thinkin')

Tomorrow shopping places will be MOBBED, moreso than usually since people were not able to do any last-minute shoppin' cause of the strike. . . I feel sorry for whomever ventures out there. ..

I think it's going to take them 12 hours to get it running. But there might be some buses.

We had a bus strike for a while here in Los Angeles. People started using their mini-vans as pseudo-buses and pickup up passengers at bus stops. They'd charge a small fee. It worked for a time. Felt totally sketchy but that's the way.

Some of these pseudo-buses still run today for the hispanic population.

I didn't know that anyone used the buses in LA. I always thought they just hired our of work actors to sit in the buses to act as though there were riders out there.
