"WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Rush Limbaugh was arrested Friday on prescription drug charges, law enforcement officials said.

Limbaugh turned himself in to authorities on a warrant issued by the State Attorney's Office, said Teri Barbera, a spokeswoman for the State Attorney's Office.

The conservative radio commentator came into the jail at about 4 p.m. with his attorney Roy Black and bonded out an hour later on a $3,000 bail, Barbera said.

The warrant was for fraud to conceal information to obtain prescription, Barbera said."

"his attorney Roy Black" That'll set him back $500k eye popping smiley

Another addict on the road to salvation?

He's innocent.
It's a feminazi plot to besmirch his good name.
Honest.

great quote found the other day:

"I'm not an expert on the New Testament. But I know that if you cut out all the passages where Jesus talks about helping the poor, helping the least among us, if you literally took a pair of scissors and cut out all those passages, you'd have the perfect box to smuggle Rush Limbaugh's drugs in."

I hope and pray not one of you ever has to witness the addiction of a loved family member or friend to any of the pain killers. Nor methamphetamine.
With or without a Doctor's "supervision".

K Billb, I also hope that I never have to hear Rush Limbaugh passing judgement on those that have drug problems, sex problems, liberal problems, medical marijuana problems...any problems that he is supposed to not have. He's a judgemental blowhard who also happens to be a hypocrite. Screw him, may he learn from this. And if he doesn't gain some humility and an expanded view of the frailty of man...then screw him again.

You know -- and I would never condone this sort of thing -- if we aborted EVERY cranky, mean-spirited, hypocritical radio talk show host in this country, I think our drug, gambling and sexual harrassment problems would clear up just like THAT.

Your judgementalisms are OK, but his aren't. OK.

I don't see how anyone can listen to his show.
It's like pulling teeth.
15 minutes of content stretched out over however many hour(s) long the show is.
( only gave it a lunchbreak shot once or twice about 7 years ago, maybe things have changed )

I totally agree with you, EXCEPT in the case of hypocritical, hate-filled, lying people.

truth is that some people are more worthy of sympathy than others. rush was a mean spirited pr*ck long before he became addicted. Was he kind when, say, jerry garcia died? No...

How bout teenaged chelsea clinton - remember how horrible he was to her?

He gets no sympathy from me. Rot in hell...

I could go on, but won't...

Now he's a drug addicted mean spirited pr*ck?

If he recovers from his drug addiction he will go back to being a mean spirited pr*ck again.

I'll go along with that.

Irony.

"The FDA says there's no -- zilch, zero, nada -- shred of medicinal value to the evil weed marijuana. This is going to be a setback to the long-haired, maggot-infested, dope-smoking crowd."

This is probably not the place for this rant but...

If you're terminally ill and pot makes you feel better, then it has medicinal value. A sugar pill, if it makes you feel better, has medicinal value. If alcohol is going to be legal in this country there is no logical reason pot shouldn't be too. Alcohol has no medicinal value either and it does way more damage to your body than pot does, yet it is legal. Legalizing pot is not going to cause hordes of people to suddenly drop out of society and suddenly jump on the welfare wagon. The people who abuse pot are probably ALREADY on the welfare wagon. The difference is that we'd be taking in taxes to help support their asses. I don't smoke it, but don't see why we should waste resources preventing it. The taxes we'd reap in the sale of pot could significantly bolster our economy, ease the burden on the justice system and the penal system.

This -- again -- doesn't belong on this side of the forum.

I'll make no comment on Limbaugh except to say:

a) I'm not a listener.
b) This whole opus (which I have, in fact, been following closely) proves once again that rich people have access to an ENTIRELY different justice system than the non-rich.

THIS IS THE REAL PROBLEM.

Did he not once say "all drug users should be in prison"? I don't listen
to his show but I remember that from an ad/clip for his show.
The only thing his show does is take up time on WBT out of
Charlotte when something real could be aired. As far as I'm
concerned his show is garbage.
