Creature comforts

I'm sitting in front of the gas logs fire, sipping a cup of Kona brewed from fresh ground beans with Half & Half & Bailey's, watching a rerun of Smallville. Life is good sometimes!

Eating Fresh Minestrone soup from the health food store - Rainbow Grocery.

Coming down with a sore throat and slight cold.

Got the mattress warmer on and just put on my pj's.

I'm gonna go make me a well deserved cup of cappuccino. That may make me feel better.

Just finished eating chili the boss made (annual tradition), reclined back in the not-so-plush high back desk chair, feet propped up on the table, watching CSI, surfing the net on the iBook with 2 hours left to of the work day. Did I win anything?

Made-from-scratch spaghetti with garlic bread, and salad. Number 1 son is cooking --and cleaning up. I'm happy!

Had the most terrible day to finish out the most terrible month at work.

Just being home brings comfort.

I sit on a man’s back, choking him and making
him carry me, and yet assure myself and others
that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his
lot by all possible means — except by getting off
his back. - Leo Tolstoy, novelist and Philosopher

While you were enjoying your comforts I was enjoying Perrier Jouët champagne, Lindt chocolate, and the fine company of a beautiful woman.

It's the simple things.

This second series of Creature Comforts has been great, way funnier than the original series, especially Victor, the Geordie rat, class stuff!

Woo Hoo !!! Thanks Steph. Starting 10.30 (on the east coast) I see five 30 minute episodes scheduled. (Note to self, Check supply of popcorn.) As an hors d'oeuvre Benny Hill at 7.00 pm. Brit salacious humor at its best.
