What was your most memorable Mac moment of 2005?

Please share your personal or news Mac story.

I would have to say the Henrico incident was it for me. Stampede, urination on ones self to keep place in line etc. If Mac users weren't viewed as a crazy cult yet by the general public, that really solidified it.

A crowd rushes through an open gate, some falling down, all hoping to get a cheap iBook at the RIR complex, Aug. 16, 2005. DEAN HOFFMEYER/TIMES-DISPATCH

Well, there goes my humor angle. winking smiley

That was very very cool that people at Dealmac and here raised money for Ralph and Rain to help them in the aftermath. It still amazes me how much trust there is in this community.

Just because it has two clutches, shifts faster, uses a torque converter or has near-infinite gear ratios, requires less driver intervention and is more efficient doesn't make it better in my opinion.

From a personal and very selfish standpoint, mine was scoring that 450 duallie for $150. Lets me put off buying something new for another couple of years. :-)

Mine didn't cost a dime...yet. It was when Little Poochie said to me, "Daddy, I want to go to the Apple Store."

He's a chip off the 'ol block, I tell ya (sniff)

Serious problems with both iBooks in this household - a G3 and a G4. :-(
I hope the Intel books are better.

My most memorable moment may occur in two days. I bought my 5yr old daughter a powerbook 1400. She has been circling laptops in the advertisments and saying she wants one! All of her games or OS9 so the 1400 will be just perfect for her. I can't wait to see her open it!
