This is from the track meet this afternoon. The day sky alternately sunny and overcast. My kids figured out how they could see their chess game. For the most part, I could barely see my e-book.

The ironic thing is that the guy sitting next to me had a Kindle - the thing looked amazing, even when the sun came out.

I know all of this is common knowledge, but until I saw it side-by-side, I didn't appreciate the difference. Thankfully, outdoors is probably 1% of what I expect to be using my iPad for. As I've said before, it has replaced my laptop for almost everything.

Guess there will soon be a market for this for two people:
