Negotiate on XM Radio - other current deals?

Our 3 month trial of XM Radio has expired. I/We enjoyed it, but it was a novelty not a necessity.

We would consider purchasing it if the price were more in line with our expectations. At 12.95/Mo it is clearly a no. At 8.95 if is probably a no. At 6.95 it is probably a yes.

It looks like both XM and Sirius are bleeding out. Are they more likely to negotiate to get a cheap subscriber than to get no subscriber at all.

Ideas, thoughts?

How about asking for an additional year for $60?

See this:

Please let us know if it works.

I've been an XM subscriber for many years now, and I'm kinda PO'd that Opie & Anthony sold out to do their show OTA for CBS. Their show really stinks now.

the writings on the wall

The Taoist Zhuangzi said, "Good order results spontaneously when things are let alone".
The sociologist, and historian, Adam Ferguson described the phenomenon of spontaneous order in society as the "result of human action, but not the execution of any human design".

I got XM with my Honda and at the 3 mo free trial end, I bought a portable XM and paid $9.95 a month for 3 years, planning to use the portable in the car. of course, I couldn't use the factory antenna - had to use the magnet - and then there are the mass of wires and no place to put it so I wound up subscribing a second time for $7.95 (or was it $6.95) a month for the car. Don't follow my example.

After my 3 month trial expired, they called me a month later offering 12 months for $77. I signed up at that rate, but wouldn't pay anything additional.
