Anyone conquered a clog on a recent Epson?

I'm stuck . . . my Workforce 600 developed a clog in the black ink after changing a cart; a zillion head cleanings and trying a different black cart has only resulted in lots of wasted ink of all colors.
Anyone taken this problem on? I used to be pretty good at using Fantastik to get the old ones flowing, but I have no idea if the current design is remotely similar.

Otherwise . . . any killer printer deals out there right now? Must have cheap aftermarket ink available . . .

ug, i've repeated this many times on the forum -

can you find the pad where the head rests? drip some windex on it and park the head. let it sit a day and try a cleaning cycle. did it work? if not, repeat 3-6 times, checking each time. depends upon how impatient you are.

still didn't work? repeat after 3 and 7 days.

never lost an epson with this method.

And this applies to recent Epson's as well?

I solved my Epson problems and purchased an HP.

Good luck!

Wow, they don't give those things away, do they.

I use the mattkime method and have had good luck. I have also put some household ammonia in a syringe and put it in the needle that sticks into the bottom of the cartridge.

Epson's way of squeezing you for that last dime before you buy an HP that has the heads in the cart.

Only HPs printers that use tri-color carts have the print heads built into the cart, HP printers that use multiple individual ink carts have print head(s) separate from the carts.
