Which astronomy program is the best these days?

I have Voyager III that runs on OS9. I want to get back into learning astronomy, so I need to determine if I should update Voyager or start with another program. Any opinions to offer?

I've used older versions of Redshift and Starry Night and liked them both. I don't know how good the newer versions are, though.
