This morning I applied M$ updates & rebooted the computer. Afterwards I noticed the power LED on the scanner was on, so I tried it out & it works just fine.
It doesn't take much to make some people happy, especially after finally talking my boss into letting me get a 19" LCD monitor to replace the 19" Princeton CRT that's slowly dying from the bottom up.
