I'm waiting to see what options Apple is going to offer.

I like full hard cases and use a screen protector.

The iFrogz at ATT stores is nice [ifrogz.com] but I selected the Speck [www.speckproducts.com]

I got this iFrogz just to try until I made up my mind:

It's very nice, but the fatal flaw is that it fits the face so snugly that it's not compatible with screen protectors. It pulls up the edges of the protector. Another complaint is that the knob on the back keeps it from sitting flat on a hard surface, so it's difficult to type on it while on a desk or table.

I ended up trimming a screen protector slightly so that there was no contact with the edges of the case but found that, once trimmed, the last 1/16 of an inch or so of the outside edge will not seal properly. Not a very neat look. The good news is that the case protected my phone perfectly when it slid off the center console of my car yesterday and tumbled onto the garage floor. It fell face down, and except for a tiny knick on the edge of the case, it is no worse for the wear.

The screen protector issue is why i went with the Speck--and I like the case more as I use it.

It appears to have just fabric on the back--but it is all hard case.

OK, wow, $30?

Did anyone try some of those cheap $10 rubbery ones?

jdc, I've posted about the less expensive cases, IMO they're fine though I've not compared against the $30 hard shell ones. The Speck one looks to be really nice, but the ones I've posted about are less expensive and probably protect just as well (I'm not a fan of the silicone type, I prefer either the Boxwave or Minisuit ones I've posted about).
