Getting itchy over the Mac Convention & Intel?

I might be tempted to by an Intel after I see what youse guys think of it...and what the reviews have to say. I'm getting kinda antsy about what it will be like, if it will be strictly Apple or do some other tricks.

Oh, yes...Merry Christmas to all - Friend and Foe - I'm doing movies and a Turkey TV din din with oodles of cranberry sauce.

I was in CompUSA today and the young salesman insisted that the Intel chips would make the Macs vulnerable to all the PC viruses going around. Please tell me that he's wrong!
I was hoping to sell two of my older machines and get a new iBook or PB sometime in 2006.

Virii attack software, not hardware. In most instances, that software is Windows. Your young salesman is an idiot.

It is what it is.

You heard it from a CompUSA sales droid, ergo it must be wrong.

Even I knew that much!If it was the hardware we would have to gut our computers every time a virus struck. Bill would be broke by now upgrading our hardware!

You have to remember that the people selling stuff in the computer stores were probably selling shoes yesterday. I have yet to go into Circuit city, etc and know less than the clerk.

No excitment of the new machines? by anyone???
