Piazza may go into the HOF, but it won't be because he threw out an old man stealing second base … Cubs should've won. What happened to Maddux?

Maddux pitched a very fine game gave up what, 1 run, 4 hits, 1 walk? Dempster let us down - first blown save / loss in like 26 games.

Cubs need some serious offense. This stretch SUCKS.

Hey blusubaru I did not get the game on the tube just internet gamecast. I still think dumping Dustbunny would make a difference. Friday's game was described as "sloppy."With a $94 million payroll you would expect better.

True, but look who made the errors in that game: Murton, Cedeno and I think Perez was the third. With the exception of the last one, the other two are 2nd year players. Granted, MLB still. I don't know, it was a rainy day and they're cursed.

That's what bfd saw too … that's why he asked what happened to Greggy. He was breezing, so something must've popped.

btw, Minty, earlier this week, when Rick Sutcliffe was in town for the Cubs series, he apparently spent the day golfing with Bill Murray. Later that day, both stopped by the radio booth to say, er, slur "Hello", and they were hilarious, if not just a little inappropriate for a primetime game. They finally turned off Rick's mike. It made the sports page, and the Padres and the radio station ended up apologizing for the impromptu "Rick and Bill" show…
