Parallels 5 problems

I added an app today and XP updated 72 files upon shutdown.
Now it won't run saying I need to resize the HD. I tried that and I get a CHDSK /F message.
But I can;'t start XP in any way without looping back (I hate winders).
I tried reverting to previous working config. More looping.
Is anyone good with this pig?
Parallels 5.

Quit any Virtual Machines that may be running in Parallels. Keep Parallels open.
Go to the Parallels menu and choose Virtual Machine.
Next choose Configure.
From here you can change your VM settings.
