This just in- There are "TWO" sides to every story. And William Jefferson is guilty from both sides.

"It takes a particular kind of nerve to be filmed taking $100,000 in alleged bribe money out of an FBI informant's car, have the FBI later find the same cold, hard cash wrapped in aluminum foil in your freezer -- and then adamantly claim that you have done nothing wrong.

But Rep. William Jefferson of Louisiana has that rare trait -- to the horror of his fellow Democrats who are hoping to convince voters that it's the Republicans who are corrupt."

Oops. But we knew that all along. It's not which party you belong to that makes your Congresscritter corrupt. It's being a damn lying politician in the first place.

Too bad it wasn't William Jefferson Clinton … $100,000 in fine cigars might've been a great "afterword" to his presidency…

I wonder if he is George Jefferson's brother. Same frame of mind as the up scale Dry Cleaner owner.

What the heck?...

Some members of both sides of the House and some Senators are whining about the over the weekend FBI search of George Jefferson's offices.

Do they think congressmen are above the law too? The search order was approved by a judge.

There are lots of public figures who have been the targets of searches...even illegal searches. Where was Congress then?

Perhaps it is just grandstanding for various interest groups. Whatever, it makes these complainers look pathetic in this case.

I don't really see the racism, just George Jefferson slander. George would always do the right thing by the end of the half hour, honkey.

Well, this administration probably doesn't want people setting a precedent like that.

Boy, now the President has united both parties in the House against him! Hastert and Pelosi make joint statement condemning the raid, cats and dogs lie together in peace. How many more groups can this administration possibly alienate before it's all done?

It's pretty sad that congress can't come together for the good of the people, but they can when they need to protect one of their criminal own.
