Roger Ebert:

"In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to."

In his article he says South America experienced its first Hurricane last year, I don't
think that's entirely true. South Atlantic would have been a better choice. I'd have
to dig a little deeper but I seem to recall a Hurricane like storm hitting S. America
some years back. Maybe it hit the other side.

Who really wants to gamble and end up wrong? If we take precautions; we end up with a cleaner planet. Oil is going to run out. We need to develop alternative fuels right now.

If they are wrong about global warming; the worst we end up with is a much cleaner, healthier planet much less dependent (held hostage) by the Mid East oil producing countries.

I sit on a man’s back, choking him and making
him carry me, and yet assure myself and others
that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his
lot by all possible means — except by getting off
his back. - Leo Tolstoy, novelist and Philosopher
(1828-1910)

The simple solution is:
Heavily tax gas and oil, subsidize clean fuels. The problem? Who will vote for that politician?
