Tagging at airport, don't understand.....

I got singled out at the airport. They told me to put my handbag in the scanner across the way from where I was being
searched. I said "I didn't think we were to let our handbag out of our sight?"...."just watch it"

Well, it had all my money etc in it and if anyone had grabbed it off the surveillance I could not have run after them to get it back! Doesn't make sense to me. There should be some accommodation to protect your handbag until you can be with it thru the scanner.

From now on I'm going to wear a money belt so if my bag does get grabbed at least my money is safe.

And, I have been separated from my three children, too, when I was singled out.

That scares me more.

When they get older, you'll see that differently.

Does any of it make sense? moms without kids, old ladies without their purses....? I'm all for profiling. That may raise some hackles but I'm sick of this political correctness. I'm not for lynchings but I am for some rational thought here by our govenment.

Welcome to der future … Did you really feel any safer on that plane?

…and what about Omar and Aziz sitting in front of you, do you think they felt any safer?

Random selection makes sense when surveying a population or doing quality control on an assembly line. It does not make sense the way TSA and the FAA have implemented it at airports.

What does bfd suggest? Profiling - the way it's done in Israel. But that will also mean TSA will no longer be able to do their recruiting at McDonalds and Father Joe's.

Yep. Profiling.

Round up anybody who's darker than a paper bag.
Strip search them and make them fly in the back of the plane.
That'll work.

Until it doesn't.

Say hello to "Jihad Jack."
