Who Would Be Running a Trump Administration?

It's clear that a Clinton administration would be filled with warmed over bureaucrats and political ass-kissers, and if some can be believed, maybe even a few who have purchased the "rights" to those seats, but what kind of Cabinet might Dohnalt choose?

bfd's sense is that if Dohnalt is really beholden to no one - as he claims - then there should be plenty of new faces in the cabinet room.

Would he annoint a bunch of "popular" crackpots like Sarah Palin? Would he defer to party politics and make household choices or would he simply reward those who supported him (a la Christie). Maybe the Director of the FBI even gets upgraded to AG… Who would run the IRS in Dohnalt's admin? CIA?

Well, that's something that crossed this mind more than once. It's how he's done things in business so far.

Bunch of 13-year-olds, more likely. So he can date them before he leaves the WH.

Mr. Lahey: A lot of people, don’t know how to drink. They drink against the grain of the liquor. And when you drink against the grain of the liquor? You lose.

Randy: What the @#$%& are you talking about?

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

That's another scary thing about Trump. The grown-up Republicans had enough sense to bail on him and Trump will spend his time getting even with them, not reconciling. That leaves a very thin bench and most of those will be unqualified and rabid.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that. From what I've seen lately, I think Ryan would probably throw himself at Trump's feet.

You mean Paul "I don't understand math or science" Ryan? He might not be too rabid but he's unqualified for anything involving quantitative thinking. "OK then, We'll make him Secretary of the Treasury, or perhaps Energy".

Secretary Of Transportation

This would likely be the first time a cabinet member gets a Presidential pardon before being appointed.
