Portland, without federal agitators

On Thursday, the first protest held since the federal agencies agreed to pull back their officers was a markedly more peaceful affair.

As the Black Lives Matter-inspired vigil wound down early Friday morning, there was virtually no sign of the Oregon State Police officers who had taken over protection of the federal buildings at the center of the protests.

Instead of being forcibly removed from downtown’s Lownsdale Square and the adjacent Chapman Square, which lie opposite the barricaded Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse, the crowd thinned out on its own, with many protesters heading home of their own accord.

All that money and violence spent attacking Americans, and for what? Flush the worthless DHS away, along with all the contracts that enabled this circumstance to ever occur.

Except according to the rest of the article, NOBODY is interested in killing him and his reactions are putting him outside the confines of proper discipline for his job. Let him go home and cut grass...with no pay.

Fascinating how the arguments about Law and Order ignore issues like American citizens being kidnapped and put in unmarked vans, reporters attacked despite being by-standers and showing their credentials, and far-right 'activists' starting riots by attacking property.

Convenient to ignore those other events.

“You will find these Oregon State Police troopers are not easily provoked,” [said] Travis Hampton, superintendent for the Oregon State Police.

In Chicago, one of our mayors summed up the situation more than 50 years ago: “The [poorly trained federal agent] is not there to create disorder. They’re there to preserve disorder.”
