If the assertion is that the parents don’t “want them back,” the truth is more likely that the parents don’t want them back living in the horrible conditions they all fled in the first place. Republicans LOVE to clip off the context of circumstances. In other words this situation is still one Republicans OWN. To blame the victims here is par for the course.
Did the interviewers ask why??
This is literally a foreign concept to parents living in first-world countries. We can’t imagine “pushing” our children away, when it’s been done for centuries in many counties, i.e. go-make-yourself-a-better-life-elsewhere. We do a lite version of that here by sending kids to an out of state college.
