‘Shy Biden voters in Trump country’

A good read.

Would be true where I grew up too.

Considering how insanely violent the Trumplicans are, being a hidden Biden supporter is a good idea. It's why Mrs. cbelt3 has forbidden political signs on our yard. Although I told her I wanted to sit with our paintball gun and wait for some idiots, she said no to that as well. I have a great hide behind some bushes....

Maybe a taser landmine ?

No question that if I were to put up a lawn sign, it might get stolen or destroyed. The particular immediate neighborhood where I live is unquestionably pro-Biden, as is the majority of the city, but the majority in my state are strongly in favor of Orange Dump, and so someone driving through my neighborhood would likely do it.

I agree - the Trumpies are loud (and obnoxious) but fortunately appear to be in the minority.

Strangely, this year I've seen the opposite; they chest thumpers are hiding their preferences much more, and there are lots of Biden signs. Still some dotard signs, but far fewer.

Hurts like a bastid...

We're surrounded by Trump signs and flags on pickups. I was hesitant to post Biden signs in our yard, but did it just the same. I felt it was important to have our voices heard and hopefully encourage others to do the same.

I've never posted political signs in my yard, ever. Best I can say is that this year I was closer than ever to doing so! <chest thump>

We have one loud and obnoxious family in our deep South neighborhood. The adults are worse than their teenage kids, playing loud music outside as late as midnight, despite pleas to stop.

They just put Trump and Lindsay Graham signs on their lawns.

It’s all surprising, when you consider they’re Canadian.

One large Dumbf shrine in this 'hood. It's more laughable than anything else. "God, Guns, and Trump" appears to be the overall theme, though there are smaller shrines to local contests.

It's way out of place here, however. It's like the homeowners are saying FU everybody!. In the past week, several Biden signs have arisen.

And over in Coronado… these sprouted up this week. LOL

First year for us. And the BLM and Science is Real signs will proudly stay up for some time to come, no matter the election outcome.

Our only entry into the "signs in your yard" club has been a BLM sign we got from our neighbor. She and the other across the street neighbor had their BLM signs stolen. Ours was untouched. Possibly due to the angle it is to the road. But later on it was defaced (the black was spray painted over). So our neighbor gave us another. I think she's got a supply.

We’ve never had a political sign in our yard.

Until this year.

Large letters say, “Unity over Division.” Smaller letters underneath say, “Biden Harris.” It took our neighbors posting a similar sign on their lawn to make us wake up and do the same. It helps that we live in a very blue city, although our neighbors across the street are proud Trumpers.

First time for me, too. One for Sen. Tina Smith and another for our state senate candidate who doesn’t have a chance.

I do keep track of the Trump signs so that I know which driveways to skip when I snowblow this winter. Trust me, it matters more to them that I do their driveways than it does to me who they vote for in this Republican district. I just dropped $900 on rebuilding my blower (just the blower, not the tractor it’s mounted on) so when they are out there in the bitter cold chipping away at the three foot snow plow drift at the end of their driveway I’ll wave as I go by, skipping theirs. And I’ll be smiling - which they won’t see behind my scarf.

you go around your neighborhood cleaning driveways? do you do this as a courtesy for your nice neighbors or do you change them?

Speedy is obviously a practitioner of “Minnesota Nice”.

And we are nice, by and large. But we also don’t forget.
