I got a generic eye voted sticker when I handed in my ballot. They told me it was optional I told them I wanted it!

When I took my mail in ballot to the county clerk's office, I was disappointed that I did not get a sticker.

Dropped it off into the Official Drop Box on the 19th..., but it took until the 23rd to get processed.

This scares the cr@p outa me w/ regard to Min eh sóe tuh, and PA, and other contentious states where Cheeto McTweeto and his henchmen are trying to suppress the vote. If it takes 4 days in an Official Drop Box in the heart of blue country, there's no hope via an already crippled USPS in states w/ traces, or more, of red.

Yeah, after I filled mine out, I had to weigh my strategic options.

It’s definitely too late now to count on the USPS. And no way am I trusting a dropbox in a local library or at a grocery store; for that matter, with the scattered reports of arson being perpetrated on dropboxes, any box accessible 24/7 is too vulnerable for my tastes. Finally decided on one inside a good sized city hall, in clear view of the personnel.

Such agita just trying to exercise my right to vote. But better safe, than sorry.

I thought my sticker was totally generic and I was all set to post a photo from the net (rather than have to shoot it and store it somewhere) but then I looked at my sticker and realized it's not generic after all.

For any who still need to return their ballot by mail and don't want to drop off in person, you can also conceivably fax your ballot in (I was offered this option!) or use a certified delivery service such as Fedex, UPS, or even USPS Priority.

As many of you know, I sent mine USPS Priority with signature confirmation, because I wanted to be able to track. Since I was mailing within my own city, the delivery time would be a single day rather than the typical 2-4 days for Priority Mail. So far as I'm concerned, happy to spend about $11 on the Postal Service ... hope they are around for a long time to come.

Edit: oh, and I hope this'll finally shut up my know-it-all Millennial nephew who, at one point a few years ago, was fighting with my mother over his opinion that the USPS served no purpose and should be abolished.
