Touchy, touchy.

Quote

The woman [78] said she and her husband [80] were sitting on the corner next to a political sign they had made. The complaint didn’t include details about the sign, but Sunday’s incident occurred a day after Trump lost reelection to former Vice President Joe Biden.

As the couple were sitting on the corner, the suspect [50] pulled up next to them in a red truck and yelled profanities at them, the complaint said. The couple ignored the man, who suddenly approached them on foot from behind and began attacking them with a golf club without provocation, the complaint said... The club broke in the process and the suspect then punched the man in the head.

... The witness told investigators the suspect then went to his pickup truck, which was parked in a nearby parking lot, with the woman chasing after him. The suspect then drove his truck over the curb toward the woman...

Seems like enough for one day, right? Wrong:

Quote

A witness gave police a license plate number for the red truck, which was registered to Ulsaker. Officers went to his residence and located the truck and Ulsaker. When officers tried to take Ulsaker into custody, the complaint said, he resisted and swung at an officer.

[Ulsaker was] charged with one count of second-degree assault, one count of fourth-degree assault of a peace officer and one count of threats of violence...

The QAnon conspiracy theory faces a post-Trump identity crisis

President Trump’s election loss and the week-long silence of “Q,” the QAnon movement’s mysterious prophet, have wrenched some believers into a crisis of faith...

Some QAnon proponents have begun to publicly grapple with reality and question whether the conspiracy theory is a hoax. “Have we all been conned?” one user wrote Saturday on 8kun.

Yes. Why yes, you have.

Quote

QAnon believers treat Q’s thousands of cryptic posts as scripture, and many stretch to connect them to real-world events, often in nonsensical ways. Some prominent Q believers said Trump’s back-to-back golf outings over the weekend were proof that the president was in control and that all was going according to plan.

...“Do not worry. Do not be afraid. THERE IS A PLAN. IT IS A GOOD PLAN,” the QAnon supporter “Major Patriot“ tweeted last week.

...which apparently involves...umm...Trump golfing.

Q’s last “drop” featured an Abraham Lincoln quote about “a new birth of freedom,” an image of a big American flag and a YouTube link to the theme song of “The Last of the Mohicans,” the 1992 movie about the French and Indian War.

Ooookay, then.

Quote

That YouTube page has itself become a town center for Q believers, with more than 35 million views and 27,000 comments. One of the most popularly voted comments reads: “It’s not just about trump, it’s good versus evil , light versus darkness! Victory of the light!!

Oh dear.

Quote

For some core QAnon believers, who call themselves “digital soldiers,” the election seemed to fuel new calls for violent action in the real world.

... One QAnon account, known as Praying Medic...tweeted: “He’s going to stick the knife in and twist it. He has no plans to leave office. Ever.

...“WAR,” one QAnon account wrote shortly after the race had been called on Saturday, in a tweet that has been retweeted more than 1,000 times. “Patriots will handle from here,” it read, alongside a “storm” emoji.

The big takeaway from this debacle of the last four years of our time in this country will be the completely widespread mental illness of millions.

I think more individuals with guns will decide they must 'even things up'.

It's the same folks that were there before, but now they are faced with a truth they won't be able to handle. I believe it will push them over the very thin line that had been holding them back. It's regrettable.

Additional fact: the 50 year old perpetrator said he hit the 80 year old man because he “came after me.”

In case you were wondering, the couple’s sign was a kinda obscure country music reference:

Quote

Robert Bongard, who lives in the area, said he saw the sign and described it as being a large piece of plywood with the hand-painted message: “Trumpers — thank God in greyhound he is gone.”

The message roughly echoes the lyrics of a Roy Clark country song, “Thank God and Greyhound You’re Gone,” from the viewpoint of a man saying good riddance to his girlfriend.
