What’s up with Cheeto grabbing the wreath?

This clown really doesn’t know how to behave appropriately in ANY situation
When he should just be standing in front of the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier, he has to reach out and grab the wreath by the poppies. WTF?

I will spare you by not posting the pic.

here's a video if anyone wants to see: [www.youtube.com]

it's awesome! Because Trump is out there in the rain and you know damn well that all he is thinking about is getting out of the rain.

Because of his hair. And maybe his makeup will run.

He's so awkward and weird. It must be hard to be a sociopath required to do stuff you really don't want to, because it's in your interest.

Aside: I love how the marine assigned to corral him uses hand signs and gestures similar to those you'd use to train a dog, when directing the executives.

They could use a little more masking.

It looks like he didn't grab it. He appears to have reached out and not quite touch it.

(Like he might catch losersucker cooties.)

He was trying to draw out the life force of the anonymous dead to keep his hope of reelection alive.

No spark.

He was contemplating hugging the wreath but someone off camera nixed the move....

That's his impersonation of praying. He remembers the laying on of hands in the oval office so he figures he'll look pious if he lays his hand on the wreath.

He still thinks he should salute even though he was never in the military. His hand should be over his heart, like Pence. He can't do one thing correctly.

Weebles Wobble but they don't fall down.

What's the deal at 7:20? Does that woman have an American flag wrapped around her butt?

Note when Pence and the others of the four bow their heads, tRump does not.

I already prayed once, dammit, don't make me do it again.

I saw that. Maybe because officially he’s Commander in Chief of the Armed forces, so it would have been inappropriate for him to not salute? Anyone out there know the official protocol?

That had me flummoxed, particularly since it’s almost dragging the ground.

Doing a little assuming here, based on one or two visual cues in the video, best guess I could come up with is that she might be an older survivor of a vet, perhaps even at somewhat less than her cognitive best, who was insistent on wearing the flag of their deceased loved one draped over her.

A departure from norms was decided best rather than a needless battle with a still grieving family member. Just a wild guess.

That’s not a flag, at least not an American flag. It has a white stripe at the bottom/outer edge.
The American flag has red stripes at top and bottom. patriot smiley

Military protocol for active members is only those in uniform are to salute, all others put their hand over their heart. The law also allows veterans to salute. But I'm not sure about the President who is commander in chief who is a civilian but in the chain of command. his "uniform" would be civvies. Obama was the first president to render a salute, not even Eisenhower did so during his two terms as president.

Frankly, I have no issue with a president saluting or not (as long as it is our military and not the North Koreans).

Thanks. I’m kind of ashamed I didn’t know that already.
