45 successfully suppressed the vote in GA

Unfortunately for him it was the GOP vote that he suppressed.

This is pretty interesting they have real numbers to show that about 24,000 republicans that voted in the primary but didn't vote in Nov, possibly because they didn't want to go to the polls in person and were discouraged from voting by mail.

In an interview with WSB, Raffensperger said there were 24,000 Republicans in Georgia who voted in the June primaries, but "did not vote in the fall either."

"They did not vote absentee because they were told by the president don't go to absentee, it's not secure," Raffensperger said. "But then they did not come out and vote in person."

"He would have won by 10,000 votes," Raffensperger said. "He actually depressed, suppressed his own voting base."

I was saying something similar to my husband before the election, about how I thought him saying don’t vote by mail could come back to bite him in the butt. What a shame.
I think Raffensberger has had about enough of T and his minions.

I'm waiting now for Trump to argue that those 24000 "missing" votes should be "found" and counted.

Maybe those people voted in the primary, for Dump, because Raffensberger sent out absentee ballot forms to every registered voter, for the primary, but the republicans complained and made him not do the same for the general election. Karma is a bitch sometimes.

He'll argue that he should have won, and demand the electoral votes.

It's being reported that earlier this year some Trump 2020 staff threatened Raffensberger because he had not endorsed Trump, although doing so is against policy for his role.

The GOP needs this mob boss off their backs. Glad we Dem voters could help them out.

His mob control / extortion of the GOP reminds me of the control Grover Norquist had over the GOP with his tax pledge. "Do what I say or I'll campaign against you".

I'm expecting 45 to continue with his extortion over the next four years, his large cult following is still a powerful tool.

Yes, but I think the Boss and his henchmen are in for a surprise at how much the power of their bullying diminishes after he is no longer
POTUS. Esp. as a one-term loser.

He's pretty much doing that.

The power of the primary vote runs strong in that party.

More reason to think those GA Senate seats are out of reach, you can be sure the state GOP is getting mail in ballots to each and everyone of those AWOL voters.

I agree. People have lives to live and are going to adjust to the fact that Biden is President. Not everyone of course, but most will eventually.

I wish this was a HA-ha but it bodes ill for the January run-offs. That's 24,000 Republicans who will have figured out that they should vote absentee if that's what it will take to send Republicans to the Senate.

Someone should compare Covid45 deaths between the primary and the national election, versus the Republican base that didn't vote for a Presidential candidate. Other than that, I think they were just too repulsed by the outgoing Pumpkin Spice Dotard to vote.

And he won't be on the ticket in January. Not a good omen, either.

I'd bet there's room for the Ds to grow another 25k votes for that runoff. Keep the faith.

And that is great news that 45* (fixed that for ya) ran off his own voters. Not surprising.
