How can you be at all 'shocked' by a lone killing?

This brutal fight has been playing out for many years. Starting with a popular 'Arab Spring' revolt in 2011, Bashir Assad, the Russians and the Iranians have slaughtered over 500,000 Syrians (among them our sold-out allies the Kurds). The Iranians have given the Houthis in Yemen drones which they fire into cities in Saudi Arabia. They have supplies Hezbollah with hundreds of thousands of missiles and millions of other armaments.

And the ruling Iranian ayatollahs have sworn on a daily basis to destroy their enemies (Sunnis, U.S., Israel etc.). Allowing these fanatics nuclear weapons would be a grave mistake.

Iran's "elected' government' is composed of candidates hand-picked by the council of ayatollahs and all their decisions are subject to revision, reversal and sabotage by the religious councils. Plus, the entire country and its economy have been corrupted and taken over by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who pay absolutely no attention to the 'elected' parliament. Even the smallest amount of research shows that the 'elected' nature of Iranian government is a tragic farce at best and a polite facade over the real rulers.

Sounds more like an Eric Trump directed job.

NYT is reporting that “three officials said that Israel is behind the attack”.

I would imagine that Netanyahu is trying to make it impossible for Biden to reengage Iran on their nuclear program, and he probably had a friendly ear in Trump.

It’s another escalation, for sure. I’ll say again, Netanyahu himself is the biggest threat to Israel’s peace and security.

Sounds like they were laying in wait along the road, and as he passed they detonated an explosive and then barraged the car with bullets.

It also sounds like the assassins didn't get away - their car, with three people killed inside, is reported to have been blown up further down the road.

Now they're saying the entire operation was executed remotely - detonation of hidden explosives followed by automatic gunfire from a remote-controlled machine gun.
