Will Trump go to the next level? Will he spend 4 years saying that he is the rightful King and the people should rise up and make it right?

If he actually calls for revolution, will authorities act?

What can they do?

They will shrug their shoulders and say "Oh well," like they have to so many of his shenanigans.

He won't have a lapdog in the DOJ covering his butt.

He will no longer enjoy the protection of holding office, and will be at risk of being charged with sedition.

He will deny, to his death, that he was defeated fairly in the 2020 election.
He will always cry that this election was "rigged" against him.

"Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of understanding of others' feelings."

Signs and symptoms
People with narcissistic personality disorder are characterized by their persistent grandiosity, excessive need for admiration, and a disdain and lack of empathy for others. These individuals often display arrogance, a sense of superiority, and power-seeking behaviors. Narcissistic personality disorder is different from having a strong sense of self-confidence. This is because people with NPD typically value themselves over others to the extent that they disregard the feelings and wishes of others and expect to be treated as superior regardless of their actual... achievements. In addition, people with NPD may exhibit fragile egos, an inability to tolerate criticism, and a tendency to belittle others in an attempt to validate their own superiority."

"Therapy is often difficult as people frequently do not consider themselves to have a problem."

Yes. Yes he will.

Even when he is in jail. There is a long tradition of this. Remember the late Jimmy Traficant, who ran for Congress from jail ?

It strikes me as an amusing thought experiment to contrive a series of events where Trump finds himself supplanted by an even more amoral hustler who manages to convince The Base that he is, in fact, the all knowing Q at last revealing himself.

A grand revelation. The casting of Trump as well meaning, but only a bit player in The Coming Storm, and recede back into the shadows with a promise to reveal the True Chose One...soon.

Then after the deposit from the highest bidder is confirmed by his bank in the caymans, the breadcrumbs begin to drop anew. La Revolución MAGA continues! big grin smiley

There is a path for Dumbf to take that would involve this kind of sedition. Unfortunately for him, there are laws at all levels that could be used to take him down and out - once he's out of the halo of the WH.

Somewhere today I read his PAC has now taken in nearly half a BILLION bucks...that's gonna ensure him a seat at the (Republican political) table for the foreseeable future.

If that's true, I would guess a significant portion are from donations made to his election litigation fund. From what I understand, unless a single donation exceeds $8000, none of it has to go to litigation efforts. Most will go to his PAC, with the rest to the GOP.

I have many friends that are Trump supporters that I know are making donations ignorant of this fact.

Disgusting.
