New Senator from California

Hearing rumors that Alex Padilla will be appointed to fill Kamala Harris's seat in the U.S. Senate. He has a reasonable record in government and comes to the game with a Chemical Engineering degree from MIT, so at least he will be able to understand scientific concepts.

Padilla grew up in Pacoima, a part of Los Angeles best know for producing Richie Valens of La Bamba fame. Not as well known was his Oh Donna a song I wooed and wed my wife by.
