Pfizer vs Moderna? Are there pros and cons for each?

the one offered to me is the one I will take (through Kaiser) - I will not ask where it came from.

Since I am down on the list I will take whatever’s available when it’s my turn.

The best estimate for me is still early March for my shot.

I'll take whatever is available.

I don't think it's a matter of choice. I think it's a matter of which one gets to your state.

The little people (i.e. 95% of the US) do not get a choice. We'll take whatever is offered.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

I’m going to wait until a social media media influencer tells me to go ahead.

I suspect my mom, 89, will probably get the Moderna because she lives in a more rural area.
She literally lives across the street from the local hospital, but I doubt they have the super cold freezers, so they would be more likely to get the Moderna vaccine, I would think.

My husband should be either one or two classifications above me, but it will probably be at least March for me. I’ll take whatever I can get the quickest, I think right now.

I am not sure you will be allowed to pick and choose, in the first go round anyway.

I'm waiting for one like the one that left a permanent scar on my left arm.

No seriously though I'll wait for one that doesn't have to be kept at minus one million degrees.

Whichever becomes available first, I'll take. By the time it gets to me the kinks will be known and either dealt with or avoided.

I would prefer to wait for either the Oxford / AstraZ or the J&J / Janssen ones that are coming ... mainly because I think that with my particular condition, I'm likely to respond better to those than the mRNA ones. But that would mean waiting more months, maybe several more months, which is not likely to be pleasant with the way things are currently looking.
