Yes. I don’t qualify for Medicaid or anything like that either. I’ll throw myself on the mercy of Gilead’s program so I can get HIV meds, though I could do without them if I need to.

We’re “managing our income” for the next three years (til Medicare kicks in) for just this reason.

Our Obamacare premiums didn’t substantially change this year. Yay! But health care is still an f-ed up system in this country.

My wife's was going to go way up. Normally she's rarely sick and I hope it stays that way next year because she chose a high out of pocket max but zero deductible plan for $0.00/month. Her plan last year was like $125/month and was going to $200. I think her PC visits will be $50, specialist $100 and ER $500. Six more years before she can get on Medicare. My Medicare supplement is going to be like $170/month but I'm in and out of Drs. offices like a revolving door.

Was Sprep, Flu and Covid tested just today. Have been pretty ill for about 5 days and I had to have all these tests according to my PC physician.

Just don't forget what Turtle Face Mitch said, “The Senate is not going to be bullied into rushing out more borrowed money into the hands of Democrats’ rich friends who don’t need the help,” Mr. McConnell, Kentucky Republican, said on the Senate floor.

What state are you in? and what sort of options are available in your area/county/parish?

I've noticed big medical gobbling up smaller competitors in many markets, really screwing them up, while in other markets where there is competition, the choices are more reasonable. Just browsing several different state's options (because Baby Buzz had to switch plans for 1/1/21), showed all sorts of disparity in prices, and apparent choices of care relative to HMO vs PPO structures. Our country needs some serious help.
