Uninformed people of all stripes voted for Trump.

You'd think that a dreadhead 40 something hippie artist would be a knee jerk lefty, but my neighbor that fits that description was 'not quite sure' who he was gonna vote for late Oct (I haven't asked since) and is an hardcore antimasker for reasons that make no sense at all, but he's got 'em.

Saw on the news an older poor black woman in Brooklyn in financial crisis said that she was pretty much undecided, but voted for Trump because he gave her $1200 earlier. She was really sincere and not crazy at all, not political at all - just very uninformed.

I wonder if whatever personal defect that makes someone like Trump makes them uninformed. Does that make sense?

A small number of black men like Trump's misogyny, but I'm with RgrF, for a most of black men who support Trump I think it's probably about money.

I'd ask what's wrong with ALL THE PEOPLE defending Dump? I'd say it's mostly a function of social media echo chambers combined with [whether willfully ignorant or not] low-information and/or misinformation voters. Subsets include the $$$ lovers, racists, bigots...the usual deplorable suspects.

Most of the women I know who support him are of the "traditionalist" female view, that is, they believe in traditional gender roles for men and women and also tend to be strong religious believers, and also of course tend toward racism. There's obviously a lot of cognitive dissonance there, which they seem to rationalize by buying into the parts of his worldview that they want to buy into, and dismissing or excusing anything which is inconsistent. So, for example, in reference to Stormy Daniels, they blame her and not Dump (saying that she's just a "tramp" or "loose woman"), and as far as püssy-grabbing is concerned, they'll say that he's just saying out loud or doing what all men like or wish they could do.

I don’t get it either, but I do have to say the proportion of Blacks who have been fooled by Trump is waaaay less than White folks, based on things like exit polling.

This is about a white person but the topic reminded me: I had a friend who voted for Ronald Reagan. He was a struggling artist who was gay. I said, for crying out loud, Reagan hates people like you. His answer? "Some day I hope to be rich and I don't want to pay a lot of taxes". I love this friend but omg he was stupid as @#$%& back then. He did snap out of it eventually.
