"What will the Texas Freedom Caucus have to say about the very obvious Austin Swamp plan for the Texas Republican majority-led legislature to achieve NO real protections from the DC Socialists hellbent on torching liberty, grabbing guns, killing babies, corrupting children, stripping Bible-teaching from churches, and turning the United States into a forever banana republic through the horrific HR 1 “For the People Act”?
 
Note: HR 1, For the People Act would expand mail-in voting, mandate same-day registration and create automatic nationwide voter registration. The bill would also allow felons to vote, expand early voting, and enhance absentee voting by simplifying voting by mail. (There’s much more, but for another educational email.)
 
If our Republican Governor, Lt. Governor, House Speaker, State Senators, and State Representatives DO NOT protect Texas from the DC occupiers who are pushing these anti-American atrocities down to Texas and to our local communities – they are worthless!
 
It is time for incumbent Republicans
on the ballot in 2022 to put up or shut up."

The threats in that email are so emblematic of radicalism. The party as a whole has already shifted so far right, but it's not enough to realize that. It's not enough to understand elected officials already vote with supreme regressiveness. Never mind that across the country politicians everywhere are already mobilized to thwart voting. No, they must be thoroughly punished for any perceived, potential future slight unless they too begin foaming at the mouth.

I am so sorry Republicans have control of your state.
