I'm within 72 hours now...

Congrats! I got my second on Monday. Was fine Mon PM, felt slow and bleah Tuesday, especially in the morning, and felt real slow and bleah this morning so took some Tylenol, but everything was great by about 11am.

That is similar to my second Pfizer shot I also got on Monday. Little tender in the arm, developed a headache by the next morning and then by mid-morning I had a few mild aches and blah feeling. A little tired. I'd say I felt at about 75% of normal ability to do things. By this morning I seemed to be over those pretty mild side effects. I have had fairly bad tinnitus for decades and on occasion my ears really scream at me. During my blah time it was screaming at me good and loud. Back to normal today. My wife has had no side effects other than a hardly noticeable ache in her shoulder for about a day after her second shot.

.....did you take.....a whisky shot...... afterwards......????

That's how I felt after my first Moderna shot. Achiness and fatigue extended into a second day.

It is what it is.

So for my first shot, my arm started getting sore around the end of the day. By 8ish it was so sore I could barely lift my arm over my head. So that and what others had said, I figured I was looked at around 12 hours before anything "hit". I got my shot around 8 AM both times. Yesterday I was waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And...nothing. Arm got sore in the afternoon. Then so sore I could barely lift it over my head. Took some ibuprofen and went to bed. Slept fine. Feel fine now. Arm still a little sore but nothing else to report. Oh well. Guess I still have to go to work today.

Wife and I get second Moderna this afternoon. I'm worried about side effects for her, she has numerous health issues and had Covid including three weeks in the hospital.

I know it is for the best longterm, but still makes it a difficult decision.

So glad you are fully vaccinated!
Most of the people I know who got the Pfizer seem to have had fewer symptoms after the second shot than the people who got the Moderna, but that is just very, very anecdotal evidence.
It is a feeling of relief to be fully vaccinated. I still wear a mask, but it is nice to know I have lessened my chances of getting very sick.
