If it's ok to use a phone hands free, why not Zoomin' if he's not watching the screen?

There could be a driving mode where his screen is dark, and the others see a static pic of him holding an American flag in some dramatic, Mt. Suribachi style.

I'm not familiar with Zoom calls, so I have no idea how practical and safe that might be, making the equivalent of a conference phone call.

Obviously having a screen visible to the driver and the driver never looking at it isn't satisfactory.

Then there are those studies that say no way any phone call should be made by the driver of a vehicle.

And he did have his seat belt on, lol.

I don't see why this is worse than making a phone call while driving which is pretty damn common.

I'm not talking about the safety. I'm laughing at the idiot thinking he has everyone fooled and he's wearing a seat belt and obviously driving if you watch him over five seconds.

I don't think driving while on a Zoom meeting is particularly egregious in itself.

It's the combination of trying to make it look like you're in your office and not driving while simultaneously the state legislature takes up a new distracted driving bill.

There is an option to turn off your camera. I use that when I'm on calls (handsfree) while in the car.

The worst part is.. my company has a policy that nobody is supposed to take or make a call while driving. And senior executives call meetings during drive time ALL the time. And are driving and making calls.

I'm waiting for someone to get gigged for a policy violation and then whole crap show to collapse.

This may be the silliest thing I've seen yet. And that's saying a lot.
