'Arabs and Israelis at the beach in Tel Aviv'
(surprisingly, not one of these pix are from Reuters)

The (rare) pictures you found are NOT among the ones curated by the Reuters editors to be the 'most significant of the day'. They are also beach pix that include no Arab Israelis(Which, of course is one of the main points of my post)

How long did you have to search to find this one story from April 2019? I can find Reuters 'charming Palestinian' pictures featured right at the top every day.

Go ahead, find us some others. ('Orthodox Jew freaks' pictures don't count. That's a trick the Guardian always uses.) I mean nice overwhelmingly majority regular Israelis conducting their everyday life...you know, just like the Reuters Palestinians.

So Reuters shouldn't show Palestinians being upset and they shouldn't show Palestinians being not upset. Admit it, you just don't want any photos of any Palestinians being published for any reason whatsoever.

There's so much emotion flying around here that many of you are arguing at cross purposes.

Steve G., I recommend that you change your approach and start posting examples of the kind of photos that you would like to see representing the people of the region.

I know it is hard to find them, and the difficulty is part of your point.

Nevertheless, it is too easy for everyone to project their own issues onto the pictures that you don't like and to misconstrue the reasons why you are posting them.

The issue here is Reuters using their

"Top Photos of the Day
Our top photos from the past 24 hours."

to daily project images depicting Palestinians as sympathetic victims and Jewish Israelis as evil thugs.

For this thread's example, Reuters only bothers to show innocent Gaza youth frolicking on the beach, ignoring the daily peaceful use of Israeli beaches by both Muslims and Jews. Both are available for photos..but Reuters consistently shows one aspect.

It's Reuters' policy of bias I am highlighting, The proof is there daily.

Yup, Reuters keeps on doing it on a near daily basis. Thanks for pointing that out!
