Fifteen months into the pandemic, the official U.S. death toll is approaching 600,000, even as a national vaccination program has successfully reduced the rate of daily infections and deaths.

As of June 10, the overall COVID-19 death toll in the U.S. is 596,059, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The World Health Organization (WHO) puts the international figure at 3,758,560.

And almost every death in the USA going forward would be avoidable. Except for the past actions of Pres. Trump.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

"Trump 2024! Make America Great Again!"

Would someone please describe the current definition of "great" for me? The definitions I found on a Google search don't seem to match what happened between Jan 2017 and Jan 2021.

New Study Estimates More Than 900,000 People Have Died Of COVID-19 In U.S.

World0meter estimates, 614,038 as of this morning. Remember that both NY and FL have been hiding deaths at sites like Senior Long Term Care facilities.

The based on the average reported number for the last 34 days, add about 19,000 to the NPR estimate of 900,000 dead. At least the daily death rate is down below 400. Maybe the vaccination rate would tick up a little if the CDC showed that the vast majority of recent deaths were unvaccinated people and they hammered on the statistics of the continuing huge numbers Long Haulers versus much smaller percentage of virus reactions.
