"If you don't choose the vaccine, you're choosing death."

I like it. Use fear. That's what's necessary here; my state has had a 177% increase in cases in the last two weeks. (That's what happens when you have only about 40% vaccinated...)

Yes, I saw that. Hopefully what's happening leads to mandated vaccinations. I'd guess we're going to see a lot more dead people by then though.

Not likely, if anything we seem collectively to be getting dumber.

I'd like to think so, and that more can be achieved.

But I don't think bare fear will help, at least not until the grenades and mortar rounds start falling very close to one's FOXhole.

Hyperbole that can be 'exposed' refuted as hyperbole is just more ammo for anti-vaxxers.

In general, the default when faced with vaccination, seems to be doing nothing is better than doing something,

People seem more willing to believe FUD that means inaction, instead of accepting fact that says action is absolutely needed.

I've often stated that people who casually mock the deaths of others should experience the death of close friends and family members.

And maybe even give us a chance to mock them in return.

Because too many people have no respect for human life, outside their close social circle.

So why not kill off some, not all for God's sake, of their friends and families.

A wake up call if you will.

A gentle 'rise and shine' doesn't seem to be the answer, so how 'bout a 'get the fk-up and outta your rack— you got work to do!' grenade.

Actually, I think we need a very wide spread campaign of honest, pro-active effort to inform how, why, where, etc., especially with death tolls.

I'd like to see mainstream news media actually do some brief editorializing, as in after reporting on FUD spreaders, calling them out with documented fact, and stating the preceding doesn't have any basis in fact.

End news broadcasts, after the kitten and puppy segments with:

'If you don't like the Death Toll New, go out and get yourself and someone else vaccinated. And to those of you who don't and will die,— goodbye.

I'd love to see Dan Rather look the camera in the eye and say — Vaccinate.

Take a stand, ffs.

But that won't happen.

Mainstream news media won't go all Maddow on COVidiots, not even a little Maddow.

Otherwise, lot of people will continue to die unnecessarily, as before, until In the end, fear will likely accomplish what reason could not.

Exactly.

Even then I would say the statement about raising IQ is as false as another posted here about death fixing stupid. All too often the idiot is not the one who actually dies, it is someone else they transmitted the disease to.

Case in point is a story I came across a while ago. Gene Tierney was volunteering at the Hollywood Canteen in 1943 while pregnant during a rubella outbreak. She contracted rubella, her child was born with severe birth defects. Two years later at another event she was approached by a fan who blathered on about having been quarantined with rubella, but had gone to see her at the Canteen anyways. No way to prove that specific person was the source, but that person was fine. Tierney and her daughter were not.
