The gassed-up right wing tabloids, lying Republicans and screaming Trumpers are using this photo to present a case that incompetent Biden is collapsing in useless tears as US beats ignominious retreat in Afghanistan.

Read the caption for what this actually a photo of:

President Joe Biden pauses as he listens to a question about the bombings at the Kabul airport that killed at least 12 U.S. service members, from the East Room of the White House, Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in Washington.

as opposed to the Great Orange whale who never listened to anyone in his life

Even if the Trumpicans were right, showing compassion is a strength.

Trump would have been blaming everyone else, and threatening to bomb Greenland.

"Those who cannot accept the past are condemned to revise it." -- Geo. Mathias

The German word for contraceptive is “Schwangerschaftsverhütungsmittel”. By the time you finished saying that, it’s too late

The thought of Republicans criticizing "a moment of silence" for "the troops" is both hilarious and disturbing.

But not surprising.

San Antonio, TX (in the old city)

"All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
“Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." - Eli Weisel

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"I don’t want to see religious bigotry in any form. It would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it." - Billy Graham 1981

"Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise" - Barry Goldwater

Whoever was in the WH drivers seat right now would've had the same results … why the military wasn't ready for this evacuation mission given the notice they had is worth investigation. Because Dumbf made the May deal last year, they should've already been way past draft plan #6.

Sounded more like he wanted Denmark to give Greenland to us for free..

TBH I was all for buying greenland, because it would be cool to own Greenland. But it's probably safer in Danish hands. We'd sell the development rights to some Disney Monsanto Blackwater conglomerate to ruin it in a decade.
