‘ Between August 1 and September 14, the Oregon Poison Center at OHSU saw a total of 25 cases of "Oregonians intentionally misusing ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19." Of those cases, five had to be hospitalized--two people became so severely ill that they had to be admitted into the ICU.

There is no clinical data supporting the use of ivermectin for COVID-19, said OHSU.

The poison center reported that recent cases displayed a variety of symptoms, including mental confusion, balance issues, low blood pressure, and seizure. Patients sickened by the drug ranged in ages from 20s to 80s. OHSU said there was an even split between men and women who took the drug, as well as between people who were attempting to treat COVID-19 and trying to prevent getting the virus.

The hospital notes that while the poison center also serves Alaska and Guam, the "vast majority" of ivermectin cases this year have come from Oregon. ‘

Let 'em die. Hopefully before they propagate.

If they reject medical advice, then they reject medical treatments to fix their idiocy

Put them in last priority, right after heroin ODers!

(I say this as someone who has lost a friend to heroin, and nearly lost another).

Inconsistent information is likely part of the problem:

The stuff works: [www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
and:[journals.lww.com] (I know some of the studies in the meta-analysis have not been peer-reviewed, but these articles were.)

Don't take it: [www.fda.gov]

At the very least it seems like a pretty stupid idea to self-medicate. But, still...

recent cases displayed a variety of symptoms, including mental confusion, balance issues, low blood pressure, and seizure.

Is this before or after they took the drug?

They ended up in the hospital because they took too small of a dose. They really need to up the dose by a factor of 10.
