Biden set to lose part of Texas (again): yes they are doing an audit too

But ... not statewide, it's only an audit of 4 counties, 3 of which Trump won. Willl they find "fraud" and declare Texas for Biden?

1) Former Guy implored Gov. Abbot to start an audit immediately -- this week -- on Thursday morning (yesterday, Sept. 22nd)

2) A few hours later, Texas asked, "How high should we jump?"

3) The timing surely has nothing to do with the news coming out of Arizona ...

Fantastic opinion piece by Phillip Bump, in one of the many reaction to the new book by Woodward and Costa:

A snippet relevant to the above in particular:

“Voter fraud” is Trump’s ship of Theseus, almost every claim included at the outset later worn out by close examination and replaced with a newer claim that the fact-checkers haven’t yet gotten to. Or, more accurately, the new claims are just tacked onto the vessel as it sits at the bottom of the ocean, its rotten planks quickly leading to its having been swamped. And there’s Captain Trump, submerged but still standing at the bow, telling his crew that land is just over the horizon."

Actually, I think you read that wrong. Trump wants to do a “full and comprehensive forensic audit of [the] election”, limited only to 4 of Texas’ largest counties, by which I presume they mean “most populous”. * In any case Biden won three of the four counties (Dallas, Harris and Tarrant, which are the main counties for Dallas, Houston and Ft. Worth); Trump prolly has a bee in his bonnet about Collin county (east of Dallas) since he won it with only 51.2% of the votes in a “Republican stronghold” that gave Bush 2 over 70% twice.

You were right about Abbott promptly asking How high should we jump? - a remarkably deferential treatment as a Texan for a request by someone from New York City.

Will wonders never cease? RollingEyesSmiley5

* Oddly enough, the four counties are, by size, 1, 2, 3, and 6. Don’t know why Bexar (San Antonio) and Travis (Austin) (4 and 5) got left out from the Eye of Sauron.

Trump is as irritating as a fly that, all day every day, tries to lay eggs on your forehead.
