Just heard about the ongoing active shooter situation with "multiple victims" according to police, this one at a high school in Arlington, TX.

Let's ban schools. That will save so many lives.

So called "constitutional carry" went into effect in Texas on Sept. 1, over the objections of most voters, and law enforcement.

"The new law — set to go into effect Sept. 1 — will allow anyone 21 years or older to carry a handgun in public without need for a permit or training as long as they aren’t otherwise prohibited from owning a firearm by law, such as people with felony or domestic violence convictions.

Most Texas voters opposed the idea of allowing people to carry handguns in public places without permits or licenses, according to a University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll conducted in April. Although 56% of Republicans supported unlicensed carry, 59% of all voters opposed"

In the case of school shootings, 80% of them used an unsecured gun they found at home.

Pretty much a daily affair now.

Yeah, those people. Just thinking back through all the times I've seen people do cookies or spin their tires, I can think of people who were black, hispanic, asian, white, rich, poor, young, old, and me. None of those people were in Texas. Stereotyping is actually so fun, I can see why it's such a pesky little problem.

Well, up here, we had icy/snowy parking lots all winter, so it was easier than on dry asphalt.

I see yard lines and numbers painted too. Probably for marching band practice. (Or maybe football practice is really hard core there.) The white concentric circles might be something for the band for determining pathing when rehearsing a new routine. But there may be better explanations.

I think they were referring to the tread marks. But I was also curious about the painted lines.
