There should be a conservative version of sesame street. What would it be called? Drudge Street? Um, there must be something better.

How about a vampire who denies everything named the ReCount?

We all know that when politicians begin having arguments with fictional characters, it all goes downhill from there...

Conservatives have long suspected Big Bird, Mr Rogers and Barney as subversives trying to pollute young minds with socialist ideals like tolerance, cooperation, eating healthy and speaking Spanish.

It all just speaks to the divisive atmosphere in this country right now. It's like any little event is being spun into this ginormous referendum on being an American.

But for the slavery aspects, it's hard to discount that the lead up to the Civil War was any different. Both sides have a fervent belief that the other side is dead wrong.

Of course it’s propaganda. Who cares if it saves lives and the economy, right? When TFG ascends his rightful throne once again he can showcase fictional characters on ventilators for all I care.

My question, why did it take Big Bird so long to get vaxxed? Was he doing “research?”

As the article says, he's perpetually six years old. He had to wait for the CDC to approve the vaccine for children.

...distribution fees and royalties make up the biggest source of revenue: $52.9 million in 2018. Donations — about 31 percent of the Workshop’s income — came close behind, bringing in $47.8 million last year. There have also been some recent block grants, like the Lego Foundation’s $100 million donation, although that money is earmarked entirely for a Sesame Street project to help children affected by the Rohingya and Syrian refugee crises. Licensing revenue, including toys, games and clothing, came in at $34.5 million... Way down on the list of Sesame Street‘s revenue streams, by the way, is the U.S. government, which ponies up only about 4 percent — less than $5 million a year — in grant money.

Shouldn't a senator know that the Children's Television Workshop is not under the control of the federal government and gets only a pittance from federal grants?

Big Bird will now incubate deadly strain of Bird Flu with Covid for a fifth gen mutation that only infects Cheeto supporters.

One thing this puts the lie to is the oft-repeated Republican dodge I’m in favor of vaccination; I’m just not in favor of mandates (wink-wink).

I don’t know if Cruz has personally used that dodge, but if he’s not anti-vaccine (now*), why have a cow when Big Bird gets one?

* Oh how times have changed (and not):

Quote
Politico 2/3/15

POLITICO asked other 2016 potential candidates where each stands on requiring immunizations.

Cruz said Tuesday that “of course” children should be vaccinated but added that whether such vaccines should be legally mandated is a decision best left to the states.

“We’ve got two little girls. We’ve vaccinated both our girls and would encourage people to do the same,” the Texas Republican told POLITICO in an interview.

Not Covid, of course, which is a Democratic hoax. BTW, in context, Cruz seems to be saying parental decision-making is okay, but the states should decide to mandate vaccination when appropriate.
