flurona the latest iteration...

...will it never end?

Grandson number one called yesterday to let it be known he was at issue enough to pull off the road and vomit. Went for a test, waiting result, hoping for flu. He and his wife spent both Christmas and New Year celebrations with us and the rest of the immediate (10 member) family. Three +70s were there and are now on tenterhooks. Our go to hospital in LA (Keck of USC) shows 189 beds used, they only have 160 and they aren't even an ER facility so some are evidently spending time on gurneys in corridors.

Nope. Like the annoying Common Cold, it's going to be with us forever. It keeps mutating and hopefully will reach Common Cold level severity.

If people would not have been propagandized by idiot politicians, social media sites and a certain news outfit, if they would have masked, social distanced, and took the vaccine when it came out, most likely we would be nearing the end of this pandemic. At this point, however, all we can do is hope that Covid-19 becomes weak enough that it is like the flu or common cold.

There are something like over 200 various virii that cause the common cold. That is the ultimate stumbling block right now. That's why you can get infected again just weeks later.

Tests came back today, both he and his wife are positive for COVID. The lack of personnel caused delays in results. Not sure how much good a test does if it takes a week to get a result but thus far the rest of the tribe seem symptom free.

Back to boarding up the windows!
