Florida school censoring yearbooks

They are holding up distribution of the school yearbook until they an cover up all the photos of kids holding rainbow flags and anything documenting the student protest over the Don't say gay law.

It's self-censorship.

A public school reacting to government policy is, for all intent and purposes, a government action. Absent the state government's avowed policy, this wouldn't probably have happened - not unlike some Florida universities previously prohibiting faculty from making public comment about public policy.

The Seminole County School Board reversed the district's decision, voting 5-0 not to obscure the photos and captions of a walkout protest featured in Lyman High School’s yearbook.

Instead, a sticker will be placed on the page that explains the protest was student-led and not sponsored by the school.

back in the late 70's and early 80's we had the same thing. Adults supervised and removed certain photos they felt inappropriate. Pics of middle school students kissing, stuff like that

Hey, at least the FL governor is not a Democrat- Democrats hate freedom and want to tell you what to do. Republicans like Desantis value freedom and personal choice.
