About five dozen House Republicans voted down a nearly $40 billion aid package to help Ukraine in a late-night Monday vote. They cited a mix of process problems and a desire for the U.S. to remain focused on domestic issues.

Other lawmakers said the chamber's focus should be on domestic issues, such as border security and inflation concerns.

This all went down after the removal of $10 billion in Covid health funding from the package, which Republicans demanded. Regardless, the measure is highly likely to become law and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has promised to move "swiftly" on it in his chamber.

Looks like a bunch of the "usual suspects". Any of the usual suspects actually vote for the bill?

I’m NOT a fan of providing info late in the process and having quick votes. That said, this should have still been an easy get for Republicans to support. Big picture thinkers, they ain’t.

Yes, well, they should repeal the little known "Congress can only pass one law a year" law.

The record arrests/drug seizures at the border (none of which came from Abbott's "@#$%& America" policy) clearly show that we need more border security.

Never mind national security, which would be keeping Russia in check.
