Trump criticizes spending for Ukraine
[thehill.com]
Former President Trump on Friday criticized lawmakers for working to pass $40 billion in aid for Ukraine, blaming Democrats for advancing the legislation despite it also having support from a majority of House Republicans.

“The Democrats are sending another $40 billion to Ukraine, yet America’s parents are struggling to even feed their children,” Trump said in a statement issued through his Save America PAC.

Disgustin….how righties can support this vile traitor is beyond me. Do they forget the next step is Europe, then us? It’s like they have no grasp of history. And they have the gall to call themselves patriots!

I firmly disagree with Mr. Trump's assessment of the Ukraine situation and United States efforts to address it. Also, he is a poopie head.

Russia is already openly threatening Poland as the next country for denazification.

Poland is a full fledged member of NATO, Putin attacks Poland then Putin attacks the UK, France and the US among others. Not to mention that thing about two front wars.

Putin will take eastern Ukraine and then back off.

And with what military? It’s becoming increasingly apparent Russia doesn’t have a credible conventional capability left.

It's basically a pamphlet now.

Yeah, with the withdrawal from Kyiv and now Karkhiv, Putin’s military threats are starting to lose their bite, I’d say.

I think it’s kind of telling who is trying to come to Putin’s aid, in forms both subtle and overt. Trump is pretty overt, but also

Orban in Hungary has yet to agree to an EU boycott of Russian oil purchases
Modi in India is trying to make up for decreased Russian oil sales by doubling their purchases
Erdogan is the only leader of a NATO country that has publicly opposed allowing Finland and Sweden into NATO.
…and of course, OPEC (ie largely MBS) has been resisting calls to increase oil production to pressure Russia.

I don’t know why conservative wanna-be-autocrats tend to naturally stick together when they have little or any national interest in doing so, but it’s been this way since at least WWII.

I think it’s weird, but it seems like the ultra-right-wing rats are coming out of the woodwork…

India I understand. He's got a billion people to buy for. It's either Russian oil at discounted prices, or wider market oil at inflated prices.

One more domestic wingnut to add to the list above:

"Their 'proxy war' with Russia". (Hm - I forget - how did that war start?)

Where the hell do they find these people?

There's a little more:

Quote

She continued: "2. If the conditions in Ukraine were so grave to warrant the U.S. sending $54 billion, then our highest ranking leaders would not be able to go."

That's some high-falootin' logic there! I wonder how she felt about Bush spending $2T in Iraq while he and a steady stream of GOP apologists all came through for their 15 minute cameos?

Probably because they want to weaken and discredit democracy.
