Nancy Pelosi
“As I say to members all the time with legislation, do not judge it for what isn’t in it, but respect it for what it is,” Ms. Pelosi added. “There is much to be respected in this legislation.”

OK.

Well yes, you did something. Guess that's better than nothing… but it's feels like it's just about as close to nothing as you could've managed.

• Enhance background checks under 21 … with the emphasis on wacko yoots and any associated mental health records beginning at age 16. (how many will actually have records at that age except for the truly demented)

• Red flag laws (but who knows which states will enact them - there is funding attached)

• Funding for mental health programs, and school security.

• Toughens up the ban on domestic abusers buying firearms by closing "the boyfriend loophole"

No bans on weapons of mass destruction. (That'd be too far reaching. Americans have a constitutional right to bear weapons of mass destruction! - even though as far as protection goes, it's overkill.

More children will die, but at least they'll be replaced by those who will no longer be aborted … and the circle just keeps turning.

You had your chance. Don't blame her.

That's what she said…

There's certainly plenty of blame to go around.

I only blame one thing. All other blame is ancillary. We get a chance to fight back the next few Novembers. So that's good and worth looking forward to. Cuz, we're gonna win everything. The arc is longer now.

Hopefully the lines at voting booths will be, too. If the things that happened today don't create a groundswell of support, what else will it take?

THIS MOVES THE PEG FORWARD. ULTIMATELY NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. STOP DEMANDING PERFECTION.

My apologies for shouting, but it is what it is. I took a particular pleasure in seeing Cornyn's quote about the NRA's business model being the problem smiling smiley

He said the soft part out loud, and it's not everyday any regressive admits truth like that.

Let's the win, and continue the effort please.
