Doing the thing regressives now desperately wish to avoid: Talk about abortion

Democrats are well poised to make this a premier civil rights issue, because that's what it's always been.

If you think abortion access should be allowed, but would vote for any Republican anyway, think again about your priorities.

Just came across this today: a woman who says she didn’t know she was pregnant, and then had an early miscarriage, talks about her experience in Ecuador.

…which brought me to a little factoid about what effect this prohibition has had in that country:

Quote

Unsafe abortions accounted for 15.6 percent of all [maternal] deaths in Ecuador in 2014, the fifth biggest cause of mortality for women and the third largest cause of maternal deaths, said the Ministry of Health in a study released in 2017.

Women in our country will die. But really, they deserve it, don’t they?
